Alberta Oil Sands bitumen should be upgraded and refined in Alberta.
This is the second major announcement in the last month to have Alberta
oil transported and refined in the States. The Alberta government needs
to step in and give tax concessions to potential companies to encourage
them to build and expand their operations in Alberta.



The major
problem for major oil companies to construct the refineries in Alberta
is the skilled worker shortage driving up costs. High unemployment in
central and eastern Canada is a shame, these workers, if skilled should
move to Alberta and get a job. Central Canada must realize
manufacturing is a dying sector never to return.



Canada’s
immigration system is broken from years of Liberal mismanagement and
corruption. The whole immigration system needs to be scraped and
rebuilt from bottom up. Latest reports show Alberta needs up to 400,000
skilled workers in the upcoming years. Unemployed workers in Ontario
and Quebec need to get off their but and move west.
