The greatest act of courage on earth
is not to face any battle fought on warships..

it is a simple act that we commit everyday
unknowingly, even without a giving a thought

It is to look in the mirror
at ones reflection,to face oneself
and then to smile.

not evading the gaze..
nor wishing away the moment..
facing it on..and smiling
feeling the joy within

The way a person smiles..tells about him/her self.
for when we smile..we are caught unguarded
from the many walls of notions,
that we build around ourselves

Some have it easy to do this
and some have it hard..

some are afraid of bad things happening to them..
scared of their own smiles..
as if it would burst like a bomb..
perishing their life..

so they run like hell..
trying to save themselves from smiles.

some conceal their smiles..
fearing for their crooked teeth..
that would strip them naked
making them open & vulnerable for all to see

the many imperfections, that they see inside them..
the need to feel safe, to be able to smile..

they need to make sure that no one is looking at them...
and only then can they let a faint smile appear on their face..

some are misers with smile..
they need perks of happiness all the time..
with exceeding benefits..and freebies..
nothing is enough for them..

they are in perpetual wait for something bigger, better to smile at..
they promise themselves..that they will smile..
if only things became this perfect..or that..
forever putting life on hold..

some smile..at others cost .
and unless they get a chance to ride over
others they cant smile..

something wrong must happen to someone..
to make this lot happy and content enough to smile..
ohh..this insane world..that even laughs at tragedies and death..

in a cold heartless & spineless manner..
only the devil can make these happy..

some smile..intellectually..
challenging everyone levels of intellect

valuing the merits & demerits
weighing it on their scale of intellect

they can only smile
if they are reading P.G. Woodhouse..
and such like authors..

no lesser author or person can make them laugh..
they frown upon..the simple folk..who seem to laugh at everyday events..

admonishing the infants..treating them as utter silly nonsense..
how dare..a child can try to disturb their peace.

they don't drop their steely resolve...
nor over a childish acts of infants anyways..

who is tell them..that..their supposed intellect..
stinks like an old fart..
take no chance on them..

and don't waste your precious time on them
there are better things to look at life..
than to meet such old farts..

there are those who laugh heartily from their belly..
and those who laugh like an wild ass(donkey)
there are those can laugh at a drop of a hat..

Just as many people are there in this world.
so are the reasons, types of a smile.

there are still others who smile..
for they know, a smile, is prayer to God..
perhaps the most easy & most difficult of all to grasp

for the wise must turn into fool to smile..
and a fool must turn wise..
each must risk his/her self
and surrender ones will
to be the other
to truly smile

this prayer needs no words, no asking from God
it needs no intelligence, no nothing..
or a method, to be rendered

smile..and summon for the Angels and God..
and you shall have them at your door in no time

for God can resist the 'wisdom of man'
but He can never resist to join in and smile alongside him
looking at the marvel of his creation..
with content..and tears in his eyes..

Dear All,

Hi,

As a child..I was very observant..looking at everything..in the world..I loved to read life..and I still do..

I write with my heart..I hope you will like the poem..
its strange that I am seeking so many answers and things on my mind..and perhaps can not afford to give time to writing poems..but I cant do without it..I must write poems..first even at the cost of emails important to my life..because writing poems is my higherself calling..so I am sorry for not replying to your emails promptly..I will reply to them the next chance I will get to write.

I think I have just found an unexplored and beautiful something inside me with this poem...

Much Love & Smiles,

Nachi
