They would have done such a work on this that every person in the world, from an ordinary citizen to heads of governments, be aware of the genocide suffered by this nation, how much suffering they have endured and how they have achieved their day of freedom as a result of all these sacrifices.
I say any nation apart from the Kurds- because those who have closely been aware of the conference convened in Arbil on 27-28 of January 2008 by the name ‘towards the international recognition of Kurdish genocide’ knows how negligent the Kurdish leaders from the president of the region, the Prime Minister, the Speaker of Parliament and ministers, have been in relation to this big issue of our nation. In this conference there were representatives of seven European countries and many known intellectual and political figures but those Kurdish officials did not make speeches in the opening of the conference. This was a matter of concern and contemplation for the families of anfaled martyrs in particular and for the Kurdish people in general. It was the duty of the Kurdish officials to have made passionate speeches in the conference to give it impetus and warmth and attract the attention of the guests to the mission and content of the conference. Only the Prime Minister thankfully participated in the second day of the conference with making a speech. But it was necessary that he had a contribution at the end of the conference too. On the other hand, the negligence and carelessness of the Minister of Martyrs was evident. It is shameful that she did not have an accurate statistics. She claimed that the survey of the number of anfaled people had not been completed. OK! What has Miss Minister been doing in the years she has been in this post? In addition, she did not even attend the conference all the time, and when she did she went very late.
Here we ask this question: Hasn’t the freedom we have now, this parliament and the ministerial posts and institutions we have today all been achieved by the bones and body parts of these anafled people and the blood of these martyrs?
Don’t they owe it to the river of blood of our martyrs that they own all these villas, money and wealth today?
If we accumulate the bones and body parts of our anfaled people and martyrs, won’t they be much higher than all your palaces and villas?
If we allow the river of our martyrs to run, there will be no span of land in our homeland, including the swimming pools of the officials, which is not covered in red.
It is the responsibility of parliament, heads of government and region and their deputies and all ministries and institutions to make Kurdish genocide known to the world and reflected in all political, national and international aspects and embodied in the works of cinema, theatre and music to make any citizen in any part of this globe aware of the terrible genocide committed against the Kurdish people.
