Boycott GE!! An email I just received .

and it raises all the right points!!

One phrase comes to mind --- media war crimes complicity.

IMPEACH!! It really is the only answer going - we need the PROCESS it creates if things are to get any better .. The info swicki is right over there to your left.

They are not going to allow the "i" word on the media! Impeachment and Dennis would have said while Ron Paul has no problem selling out the Constitution while waving it around. I'm not buying his "brands" either.

Either we follow international law or we do not. Simple.

But we (that is those with money) CAN stick it to General Electric.

V

I have decided to initiate a boycott of at least one and have contacted the corporation involved to inform them of my decision. The corporation involved being GE and its propaganda arm, NBC and its affiliates. I encourage all other concerned citizens to follow suit.
The reason that I have decided to boycott GE and any of its subsidiaries is simple. This mega-corporation is doing everything within its considerable power to subvert the democratic process in this nation and replace real democracy with a fascist state, a corporatocracy. GE and NBC are probably no different than any other corporate member of the military industrial complex, but they are more blatant in their open disregard for democracy and their attack on our election process. This became obvious last week when NBC and MSNBC attempted to limit the field of democratic contenders to the three corporate shills that had accepted the most money from major corporate donors and defied a court order by excluding Dennis Kucinich from their two hour televised debate which became a two hour free political ad for the three candidates most supportive of our present policies regarding trade and foreign policy as well as the three most supportive of the the nuclear energy programs promoted by NBC's parent company, General Electric.
Nothing that I have ever seen demonstrates more clearly the need for this nation to completely revamp the FCC and make it illegal for broadcast media to sell political advertising or to support any candidate or candidates or to undermine the campaigns of any others. The United Nations, for all of its shortcomings, does not recognize a nation as being democratic unless it demands of its licensed broadcasters that they refrain from taking sides in political campaigns and forbid the sale of political advertising. The UN goes on to demand of broadcasters that they give free of charge primetime time slots of equal length to all qualified candidates for these candidates to express their views and platforms to the general public. It is recognized internationally that if political advertising can be bought, monied interests have a distinct, and perhaps insurmountable advantage over candidates without the financial backing of mega-corporations able to purchase expensive nationally broadcast ads. In the case of GE its is even worse. GE can provide soft money to political campaigns and then get the same money back when the campaigns buy ads on NBC or MSNBC. This gives them virtually free and nearly unlimited air time to promote or to vilify the candidates of their choice.
My family will no longer be watching NBC or MSNBC programming and will try to avoid buying GE products such as missle guidance systems from Raytheon. I hope that you will join me in this boycott, notify GE and NBC of your decision and your reasoning, and encourage others to do the same.

Peace and 9/11 Truth, Tom Tveden MD
