Could the Oil Depletion of the North Spark A New Cold War?

With the price of oil continuing to skyrocket with each passing month, if oil is found in the north, not an unexpected possibility considering the nearby reservoirs, it's very possible that all hell is going to break loose! Some have even predicted that it could very well spark a new cold war with Russia...Comment from digger: yes. and here's why! the "super powers" of this world are so obsessed with oil and fossil fuels that they just don't care about anything else. its all about land and oil to them. the more land and oil, the more they can keep doing the same old shit they've been doing for years.its like that old saying "people are afraid of the things they don't understand" and these old fucks are afraid of the new generation and the technology the new generation brings. they just don't want to change because they know they can squeeze their countries to cough up more money for their pockets.blah. regardless of the outcome of the next few months before the election (which will be the most closely followed US election since... ever), there will never be true global peace until either all the oil is gone or it simply becomes not important enough to cause a war.
