Teen school 'attackers' kept in custody
Source: ABC
Five teenagers have been remanded in custody on 101 charges over yesterday's rampage at a western Sydney high school.
The boys, aged 14 to 16, allegedly entered Merrylands High School waving bats, a sword and a machete as the students were in assembly at a school quadrangle just before 9:00am (AEST).
The schoolchildren ran to their classrooms for emergency lockdown and hid while the group allegedly ran through the corridors smashing windows.
A 43-year-old teacher tried to stop the intruders but was hit in the back of the head.

Peter Higgs told journalists in Geneva he doesn't like the term "God particle" because it might offend believers -- even though he is not one himself.
