From the Daily Progressive - Hiding the Truth

Not all editorials are equal. Some are just "head jobs" .. some can't see the forest for the trees. Some aren't "coming from" a place with enough information. This crosspost below has HAUNTED me since I read it, as it is only TOO TRUE. Simply understated, it's the TRUTH.

We're all being had -- here in North America and they keep lieing to the people in the Middle East about The Plan.

Peddling Fear: Blowback in Pakistan vs Healthcare, Jobs, and Foreclosures

A. Alexander, December 30th, 2007

Worried that domestic issues -- healthcare, jobs and home foreclosures -- might overtake the 2008 election, corporate-owned media has busied itself peddling Bhutto's assassination as a major "national security" concern. FOX News has, of course, been most blatant. The network has hardly allowed a news segment to pass without mentioning Pakistan's "60 nuclear warheads." CNN, the major networks and print media have all sounded similar themes regarding Bhutto's assassination. All of America's corporate-owned media has joined in the spin frenzy ... hoping against hope that they can scare the American people into worrying less about feeding their families and worrying less about how to get little Suzy the medical help she needs and making them more terrified that a nuclear bomb will suddenly come crashing through the kids' bedroom windows.

This is -- for America's military industrial complex and therefore, America's corporate-owned media -- an important moment ... a turning point in the 2008 election. Since Iran has been proven to be a boogeyman only in the mind of Dick Cheney and since Iraq has simmered to a slow boil, the American people have begun to place domestic issues at the top of their political agenda. And, as every lobbyist knows, big corporations can't make obscene profits by providing jobs and healthcare and homes ... the REAL money can only be made in bombs and wars and rumors of wars. Hence, America's corporate-owned media is doing its level best to make Pakistan's loss, America's personal nightmare.

Without exception, every corporate-owned media outlet has been pounding on the same theme: Bhutto's assassination may "roil" the 2008 election as "national defense" concerns surrounding her assassination reignite fears of terrorism and nuclear bombs ... and then EVERY news network and newspaper went about the business of fanning fears related to terrorism and nuclear bombs. A person would have to be willfully ignorant not to have noticed the pattern. And the only viable reason as to why the corporate-owned media is doing all it can to make the 2008 election about fear and terrorism and nuclear holocaust is because there just aren't any profits to be made by America's corporations in solving domestic issues. But in bombs and wars and rumors of wars ... there are trillions of taxpayers' dollars to be stolen ... err ... made.

And so it is ... America's corporate-owned media has busied itself peddling Bhutto's assassination as a major "national security" concern. All in hopes of turning the 2008 election away from healthcare and jobs and home foreclosures and instead, making it all about fear-driven defense industry profits ... um ... making it about terrorism and nuclear bombs.

That isn't to say, however, that the trouble in Pakistan should be taken lightly. The assassination of Bhutto and the resultant unrest could potentially lead to a complete unraveling of the region, but that is the logical outcome of the Bush administration's arrogant lunacy. Indeed, the administration that was supposed to be chocked full of foreign policy wizards has, in the end, proven to be too smart by half. Instead of actually fighting terrorists in Afghanistan and thereby helping stabilize the region, Bush and Cheney used the attacks of 9/11 as an excuse to steal Iraq's oil.

As Pakistan explodes into a million-billion pieces, the chickens of Bush and Cheney's madness have come home to roost. Now, America's corporate-owned media and its military industrial complex pimp-daddies are hoping to leverage Pakistan's pain into more record-breaking profits born of bombs and wars and rumors of wars.

That's right ... the corporate-owned media that originally played a vital role in the administration's scheme to trick the American people into attacking Iraq in the first place, now hopes to con the American people into footing the bill in blood and treasury to clean up the blowback in Pakistan. Well, thanks, but no thanks! The world is a dangerous place, but the American people didn't make it that way. The corporate-owned media and its masters in the military industrial complex did. If they want to fix it, let them spend their profits to do the job. This election will be about the things that matter to the people: healthcare, jobs and foreclosures.

Come on MrA, these greedy bastards arent going to dip into their own profits. You know, when Ws media harps on one subject for days most of us know the cons are up to no good. This unjournalistic media is supposed to keep our attention focused on their story. Beware, some kind of scheme is being planned. The sh*t will hit the fan soon enough.

A video shown by NBC News this evening leaves open the possibility that Butto's assissination was a joint operation of Pakistan's ISI and al Qaeda: a clean-shaven gunman, closely shadowed by the white robed suicide bomber. Cui bono? Musharraf? Bin Laden? Or Bush and the eventual GOP presidential contender?

I read this and found it is HAUNTING. A really really good "essay" that is right on the truth.

The BuZh "veto" of the budget is also totally uncovered by the Mainstream media as to what it actually is - not a VETO, Congress is in session! But that now will have to go to court. The press is truly bs these days.

Thanks.

Thinking about what you just said - have you considered that CIA types in coherts with Mush and his little dictatorship, mastermined the assination together, to ensure the USA election focussed on international terrorism rather than domestic interests?
The military industrial complex - corporate america - lives by the code - take no prisoners!

My tinfoil hat subscribes to just about anything.

One thing about Dick Cheney - he plays ALL sides. The US intelligence apparatus is pro construction, pro nuclear, pro DEATH and there's the rub. One can hardly know what any agenda actually is this days as so much crime and corruption is about.

You are too right.
