To: U.S. House of RepresentativesOnline Petition to Remove Pelosi as Speaker of the House of Representatives
by Scott Creighton
In the event of a rogue presidency, the founders of our great nation provided for protections for us, the citizens, under the constitution in the form of a process called impeachment.
Though rarely spoken, the word itself holds great power in that it binds the president and his entire administration to the laws of the nation and makes them all accountable to the people.
As a constant threat, impeachment forces the president and his administration to work within the confines of our system of checks and balances.
Without impeachment, there is no limit to what a rogue president can do.
Though the process has rarely been used, it has never been needed or justified as much as it is right now!
Yet, Nancy Pelosi began her term as Speaker of the House of Representatives by announcing Impeachment was off the table, thus giving the corrupt president a free hand in his last two years in office!
The documented corruption under this administration has reached levels unheard of in previous decades. And that is just what we know about! Through either neglect or malice, this administration has failed to protect the people of this country from attack, graft, and outright corruption swindles time and time again!
Record numbers of administration officials have faced charges and been found guilty only to be pardoned by the president himself, negating the very rule of law that this country was founded upon.
This administration has suppressed scientific evidence of serious threats to the people of this nation with regard to global warming as well as air quality levels in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks in New York. Both of these decisions were made in an effort to produce higher profit margins for corporate interests or to reopen the stock market and to take advantage of the unstable markets.
This administration has lied and misused manipulated intelligence to create a war of aggression on false pretenses. And even today, we see the how administration agencies work to spread misinformation to the public about another country, with the same kind of lies that took us into Iraq. This is at least criminal negligence and at worst, a war of aggression.
Never before has a President and Vice President deserved to be impeached more than these!
Yet our Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, is working behind the scenes with House Democrats, not to build a consensus for impeachment, but to do just the opposite!! To keep others from succeeding in their effort to hold this president accountable by means of impeachment!!
This is unacceptable! Nancy Pelosi MUST be removed as Speaker of the House!
Many have stated that it is impossible to remove a seated Speaker during a session. That is false. The founders of this country had great vision and they saw the possibility of a Speaker working in tangent with a corrupt president, so they created a built in fail-safe: a way to unseat a Speaker of the House, while in session.
The naming of the Speaker in the Constitution does not prevent the House from choosing a new Speaker at any time.
The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives is a constitutional officer in that the Constitution names that office in its text. U.S. Const. art. I, 2, cl. 6 (providing that the House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker).
It is well-settled that the U.S. Speaker may be removed from office by a resolution presenting a question of privilege declaring the office of Speaker vacant. 6 Cannon 35.
Simply put, the Speaker is no more than a member of the House of Representatives
elected by the citizens residing within a single member district just as any other member of the House.
The Speaker serves as the presiding officer at the will of the House and can therefore be removed by the will of the House.
These are dangerous times we live in. We are watching the systematic dismantling of the Constitution of the United States of America, right before our eyes. We must make the hard choice to accept the situation for what it is, and to choose to make the effort, at any cost, to salvage this democratic experiment before it falls to a corporatist coup from within.
These choices will involve adhering to an absolute resolution to the spirit of the Constitution and an unwavering determination to remove ALL OBSTACLES from our path, be they friend or foe; Republican or Democrat.
This administration is positioning AGAIN to send us into another ILLEGAL WAR OF CHOICE and it will occur BEFORE the elections of 2008! Only the articles of impeachment and criminal indictments of this administration stand between our soldiers and that imminent threat. And only Pelosi stands between Bush and impeachment.
To restore the republic to which it was created we must remove Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House of Representatives! She MUST be replaced with someone who has already signed on to impeach the Vice President Dick Cheney and President George Bush for crimes against the state as well as international war crimes against all of humanity.
To ensure that this is not perceived as a partisan attack, and to ensure that there is cooperation between the parties in the effort to restore the republic, a Republican interim Vice President should be chosen to fill in after Bush and Cheney are removed.
Contact your Representatives and let them know that we are demanding the removal of the obstacles of democracy:
They Must Remove Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House immediately!
It is within their power, and it is within our RIGHTS to do so.
The Process to remove a seated Speaker of the House during session.

According to the 110th Congress House Rules Manual  House Document No. 109-157 From the U.S. Government Printing Office Online Database [DOCID:hruletx-66] [Page 410-428] ;
Rule IX : The Question of Privilege (emphasis added):
1. NOTE: Sec. 698. Definition of questions of privilege.
Questions of privilege shall be, first, those affecting the rights of the House collectively, its safety, dignity, and the integrity of its proceedings; and second, those affecting the rights, reputation, and conduct of Members, Delegates, or the Resident Commissioner, individually, in their representative capacity only.
2. (a)(1) A resolution .NOTE: Sec. 699. Precedence of questions of privilege.
Reported as a question of the privileges of the House, or offered from the floor by the Majority Leader or the Minority Leader as a question of the privileges of the House, or offered as privileged under clause 1, section 7, article I of the Constitution, shall have precedence of all other questions except motions to adjourn. A resolution offered from the floor by a Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner other than the Majority Leader or the Minority Leader as a question of the privileges of the House shall have precedence of all other questions except motions to adjourn only at a time or place, designated by the Speaker, in the legislative schedule within two legislative days after the day on which the proponent announces to the House his intention to offer the resolution and the form of the resolution.
3. NOTE: Sec. 701. Questions relating to organization.
Privileges of the House include questions relating to its organization (I, 22-24,
189, 212, 290), and the title of its Members to their seats (III, 2579-2587), which may be raised as questions of the privileges of the House even though the subject has been previously referred to committee (I, 742; III, 2584; VIII, 2307). Such resolutions includethose: (1) to declare prima facie right to a seat, or to declare a vacancy, where the House has referred the questions of prima facie and final rights to an elections committee for investigation
A resolution electing a House officer is presented as a question of the privileges of the House (July 31, 1997, p. 17021; Feb. 6, 2007, p. -). A resolution declaring vacant the Office of the Speaker is presented as a matter of high constitutional privilege (VI, 35). For further discussion with respect to the organization of the House and the title of its Members to seats, see Sec. Sec. 18-30, 46-51, 56, and 58-60, supra.
4. NOTE: Sec. 702. Questions relating to constitutional prerogatives.
Privileges of the House, as distinguished from that of the individual Member, include questions relating to its constitutional prerogatives
The constitutional prerogatives of the House also include its function with respect to: (1) impeachment and matters incidental thereto
In short, the rules of the US House of Representative for the 110th Congress provides for the removal of a seated Speaker, during session, for the purposes of preserving the dignity, and the integrity of its proceedings under the constitutional prerogative of its function with respect to impeachment. Any member of the House can bring forth a resolution presenting a question of privilege to declare the Speakership vacant based on this provision.
This can be done and MUST be done to reclaim the integrity of the Congress and to hold this Administration accountable to the rule of law!
With enough signatures we can convince a member of the US House of Representatives to move forward with the Question of Privilege to declare the Speakership vacant!
Pelosi will be replaced with someone who will bring the Articles of Impeachment to the floor of the House of Representatives Immediately!
